Grand Opening of "So Excessive" Jewelry Store
Like crossing the threshold into a sophisticated boudoir once occupied by the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, So Excessive embodies the decadence and glamour of old Hollywood.

“Fashion can be bought, but style is priceless.”
Located at 1212 Raymond Boulevard, So Excessive is a new boutique specializing in unique costume jewelry for the starlet in each of us. Drawn in by the glimmering chandelier, the customer is rewarded with a beautifully illuminated collection of jewelry that adorns the shelves and displays. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings glitter in every corner of So Excessive, creating an alluring, upscale atmosphere. Owner Keena Williams has always been known by her friends for wearing “excessive” amounts of jewelry, a habit which she has now turned into an entrepreneurial endeavor. “I have always wanted to open a store in Newark and to be a part of the rebirth,” says Williams. Having been heavily involved in the expansion of the TEAM Charter Schools, Williams now aims to meet other, perhaps more “excessive” needs of the residents of Newark, needs which come in the form of that which glitters and shines. So Excessive’s limited and unique collection of accessories and personalized service will certainly leave customers with the feeling that they have purchased much more than just a piece (or two or three) of jewelry. If you are still left wondering what it is about So Excessive that gives it its “je ne sais quoi,” look no further than the quote artfully placed above the cash register: “Fashion can be bought, but style is priceless.”
