| The Newark Downtown District Streetscape Improvement
Project will occur in four phases over a three-year period. The
first phase of construction began with the groundbreaking on June
26, 2007 and is focusing on the area immediately surrounding the Prudential
Center – including
portions of Market Street, Edison Place, Alling Street and Mulberry
Street (see the streets marked in orange) – in an effort to prepare the
area for the grand opening of the arena this fall. |
